The Verkhovna Rada adopted a law providing for the termination of the agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the government of the Republic of Belarus on cooperation in the field of protection of technical information and the protocol on amendments to the relevant agreement.

According to Ukrinform, people’s deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak from the group “Golos” reported this in Telegram.

According to him, the relevant law (No. 0179) was supported by 288 deputies.

Thus, the agreement between the governments of Ukraine and Belarus on cooperation in the field of protection of technical information was signed in Minsk on January 22, 2003, and the protocol on the amendments to the relevant agreement between the governments of the countries was concluded on September 29, 2014.

The agreement defined the legal and organizational principles for cooperation in the development and use of regulatory legal acts in the field of technical information protection, as well as exchange of experience in ensuring technical information protection, conducting consultations and improving technical information protection. services for monitoring the status of technical information information protection. The protocol amended Article 1 of the agreement and defined the administration of State Special Communications as a body authorized by Ukraine.

The validity of the agreement and the protocol has expired because the fulfillment of its obligations by the Ukrainian side poses a threat to the national interests of Ukraine and does not guarantee the fulfillment of the Belarusian side with its obligations regarding the use of necessary technical information. protection measures.

As reported, Belarus passively supported the Russian Federation in an all-out war against Ukraine and provided the Russian army with land, infrastructure and military equipment. Instead, the Belarusian army is not directly involved in the war, although Vladimir Putin actively encourages Alexander Lukashenko to do so.
