Ukrainian authorities on Monday accused Russia of illegal detention 4 thousand 396 orphans in the “temporarily occupied territories” in the east of the country by troops as part of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Irina Vereshchuk indicated that the government had decided to create an international coalition for achieve “his return” after Russian forces moved them to areas under their control as a result of hostilities.

In this sense, he explained that the Coordinating Council for the Protection and Safety of Children is working to achieve this goal and “punish the guilty committing crimes against Ukrainian children”.

“In this case, the help of the international community is very important for us. Currently, several international leaders have publicly expressed their support coalition formation. (…) There must be a mediator,” he said.
