Is Twitter “Titter” now?

On April 11, Tesla CEO and current owner of Twitter, Elon Musk, posted a photo on his personal Twitter account showing a sign with the letter “w” removed in front of Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters. The white “w” was painted to match the background of the sign and the company name remained “Titter”. Earlier, Musk suggested changing Twitter’s name to “Titter” and even started an online poll about it. This last move seems to be his response to his own suggestion.

Under his photo, Musk wrote that the owner of Twitter’s headquarters requested that the Twitter logo remain intact, so they painted the letter “w” to fix the problem. With the photos of the headquarters sign uploaded to the platform by several Twitter users, it seems that the change has been worked on for a few days.

This isn’t the first time Musk has made a change to the Twitter logo. Last week, Twitter replaced the iconic blue bird logo above its home button with a dog head, resulting in a 20% increase in the price of the cryptocurrency it supports, Dogecoin. After taking over the company, Musk revamped Twitter’s headquarters several times. In January of this year, he sold hundreds of products from an office building in an attempt to increase Twitter’s revenue.

SRI Nine Market Square LLC, owner of Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters, has been at odds with Musk over several issues. Earlier this year, SRI sued Twitter, accusing the company of failing to pay the roughly $3.4 million monthly rent for its headquarters building in December 2021 and January 2022. At the time of this writing, neither Musk nor SRI had responded to questions about the recent changes to the Twitter logo.
