US announces step up fight against fentanyl

U.S. Plans to Expand Efforts to Crack Down on Illegal Financial Activities of Drug Traffickers Involved in Trafficking fentanyl strengthening the application of sanctions.

The White House made the announcement on Tuesday in a statement describing its plans to pass supply chain suppression fentanyl.

The White House indicated that the administration of President Joe Biden will increase sanctions and other counter-target measures to prevent drug traffickers from accessing the US financial system and illicit financial flows.

“We will also strengthen cooperation with international partners in the fight against illicit financing and money laundering associated with drug trafficking.”

He pointed out that the United States is building a global coalition to accelerate the fight against synthetic drug trafficking.

Mexican and EU authorities meet this week

Development happens when members Mexico’s security cabinet will be located in the US this week to meet with US officials about trafficking in the synthetic opioid fentanyl.
