Chinese researchers have developed an advanced weather forecasting system based on artificial intelligence.
As reported by Ukrinform, this was reported by Xinhua.
The “Feng’u” system is based on a deep learning architecture characterized by multi-mode and multitasking. The system is able to predict highly accurate weather conditions in 30 seconds for the next 10 days.
Global medium-term weather forecasting is important in meteorological and climate forecasting.
According to Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Lab, one of the developers of the system, it can reduce “Feng’u” error by 19.4% compared to traditional physical models and extend the prediction interval to 10.75 days based on reanalysis data.
In the future, the system can complement traditional physical models that will contribute to the digitization of the weather forecasting process and support industries such as agriculture and forestry.
As reported by Ukrinform, Kuwaiti media – Kuwait News – presented a news anchor created with the help of artificial intelligence (AI).
