“For the umpteenth time, the lie that Serbia is selling weapons to Ukraine has been published,” This was stated by Serbian Defense Minister Milos Vucevic in a statement released today.

The secret report ensures that there is political will in Belgrade to provide weapons to Ukraine in the future, and that the country has the military capacity to do so.

Serbia, a candidate country for membership in the European Union (EU), is a traditional ally of Moscow and did not join Western sanctions against the Kremlin, although it condemned Russian aggression and violation of the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

“There is always the possibility that some weapons were mysteriously found in the conflict area, but it has absolutely nothing to do with Serbia,” Vucevic commented today.

“I repeat: Serbia did not send weapons to Ukraine, and everything published in connection with this topic These are false assumptions.” insisted the head of the Ministry of Defense, quoted in a note from his ministry.

Last month, the Serbian government denied reports published in the Russian media about the alleged export of weapons from Serbia to Ukraine.
