OpenAI has until April 30th to make the required changes to ChatGPT if it wants to continue offering the AI ​​tool in Italy.

• OpenAI must launch a Garante-approved information campaign by May 15 to educate users about the risks of entering personal data for algorithm training.

Italy isn’t the only country eyeing ChatGPT with suspicion. Germany, France and Ireland are also examining whether additional measures are necessary. The American company will soon find out that other rules apply in Europe. In Belgium there seems to be no talk of a possible ban on ChatGPT for the time being. The company has indicated that despite this pressure, it has no plans to stop developing AI technology.
