According to the source, new insider details about iOS 17 have been posted on several English forums and on Twitter.
- For example, they talked about a new kind of home screen widgetwill be interactive. This means they can contain active buttons, sliders, updates, and other dynamic content. Active widgets seem to be already being tested, but their release has yet to be confirmed.
- Other changes will affect Spotlight search. Without specific details, it will reportedly be “significantly improved.”
- Possibilities confirmed once again “Serious changes” to “Control Center”.
- iOS 17 will also feature new Universal Access custom settings that were introduced in one of the iOS 16.2 betas but are quickly disappearing.
- Other changes will affect notifications, focus, Always On Display, Camera and Health apps.
- Finally, insiders promise that Apple will seriously work on the functionality of Dynamic Island. “Island” should become more useful and will be very convenient – iPhone 14 Pro owners complain that this item is currently nothing more than a toy.
Apple is expected to announce iOS 17 on June 5 during WWDC 2023. The initial beta should be available for developers to test later that day. The first public beta will likely go live in July. Release for all – in September or October.
