The single-chip Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 system was announced in November 2021 and is already used today in various flagship smartphones and will be actively used throughout the year. Sources say that Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 4G, a simplified version of this platform, is expected to be launched soon.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 4G SoC will get the same features as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 5G, except for the 5G modem. The platform will receive an ARM Cortex-X2 core clocked up to 3 GHz and three high-performance Cortex-A710 cores clocked up to 2.5 GHz. In addition, four energy-efficient cores are expected based on the ARM Cortex-A510 architecture with clock speeds up to 1.8 GHz.

All cores will have access to a 6MB shared level 3 cache. According to Qualcomm, the processor part is 20% more productive and provides 30% less power compared to the Snapdragon 888 Plus. The platform has a built-in GPU Adreno 730, which provides a 30% increase in graphics compared to the Adreno 660.

Huawei will reportedly be using this platform. The Huawei Mate 50 and Mate 50 Pro will likely be built on Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 4G. Source
