MSI has updated its line of flagship desktops for new batch dedicated graphics, GeForce RTX 4070 which NVIDIA has just launched and which we have given you a full overview of, including several product analyses. The graphics are combined with the latest generation intel processorsthe thirteenth generation ‘Raptor Lake-S’.
In recent years, desktop towers have lost market share compared to other formats such as laptops, and in addition, some users build and maintain them themselves. It has its advantages, but there are situations in the market, like the current one, with high component costs, where it may not pay to force them to think only about price.
Fortunately, there are original equipment manufacturers who maintain several series of these classic desktop computers. Just like MSI, which has just introduced three new models that we are about to present to you.
In terms of size, the largest of the trio, sa ATX tower with a transparent side panel and RGB lighting, with dimensions of 215 x 429 x 489 mm, it is also the most powerful with the possibility of installation up to the CPU Intel Core i9-13900K and in dedicated graphics up to GeForce RTX 4090strongest in the consumer market.
It has four slots for up to 128 GB of DDR5-4800 MHz RAM and plenty of power options, including two M.2 PCIe 4.0 and additional SATA. It features an optimized Silent Storm Cooling 2 cooling system and an “easy upgrade” design that allows gamers to upgrade components without the need for tools. It has the expected connectivity features with Thunderbolt 4 and USB 3.2.
The smallest of the three models, with a chassis of only 10 liters and dimensions 367 x 137 x 419 mm, it is also equipped with transparent side glass and the Mystic light system. It has Silent Storm Cooling 3 cooling technology and has three independent steam chambers.
This Trident can equip processors up to Intel Core i7-13700 and newly released specialized graphics GeForce RTX 4070. It has two slots for connecting up to 64 GB of DDR4 3200 MHz memory and, despite its compact size, it also serves well for internal storage, with two M.2 for PCIe SSDs and two 2.5″ bays.
The third of MSI’s new desktops is a mid-tower with dimensions 174 x 447 x 407 mm. It can contain up to an Intel Core i7-13700 as a processor and several NVIDIA options up to the RTX 4070 in the graphics part. It offers the option of choosing between DDR4 or DDR5 RAM (up to 64 GB) and PCIe SSD storage, 2.5″ slots and another 3 .5″.
Connectivity options are similar to previous models, including Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth. All pre-installed with Windows 11 and will soon be available on the international channel.
