The Verkhovna Rada introduced Bill 7326, written by representatives of European Solidarity, which allows representatives of Regional Defense or members of voluntary formations of regional communities to keep automatic weapons at home. The authors of the document are confident that such a rule will accelerate the deployment of resistance forces to the aggressor’s troops.

“Since February 24, 2022, a significant amount of weapons and ammunition has been transferred by the state to the national resistance forces. The return of such weapons for storage in military units may delay the process of equipping both the Armed Forces Territorial Defense Forces and, if needed, the voluntary regional community formations, ”the statement said.

In the explanatory note, it is stated that the issue of storing weapons and equipping the national resistance forces with them can be resolved if the right to preserve these weapons and ammunition is granted, provided that these weapons and ammunition are duly registered and registered.

According to the authors of the bill, it is possible to ensure the legality and controllability of the storage of such weapons so that they are not used for other purposes.

EU leader Petro Poroshenko believes Ukraine should quickly establish terrorist defense units based on the Swiss model.
