Xiaomi on its inclusion in the list of international war sponsors: We stand for world peace

The Chinese company Xiaomi Corporation reacted to the decision of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption to include it in the list of international sponsors of war. There they declared that they were advocating “peace in the whole world”.

This was reported by Ukrinform with reference to the company’s statement.

“We are categorically against the accusations of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP) of Ukraine that we are the “sponsor of international war”. We do not support any military action. We fully support world peace. Our mission is to enable everyone in the world to lead a better life with the help of innovative technologies,” it said.

The company said it believes that every consumer in the world has the right to communicate and access information over the Internet.

He emphasized that Xiaomi has business in more than 100 countries and regions and complies with all laws and regulations in every jurisdiction in which it operates.

As Ukrinform reported, the National Anti-Corruption Agency included the Chinese company Xiaomi Corporation in its list of international sponsors of the war the day before.

The reason for its inclusion in the list of international sponsors of the war was that the company not only continued its work in the Russian Federation after the full-scale invasion, but was still the leader in the sale of smartphones in the terrorist state.

Thus, in 2022 Xiaomi doubled its market share and is now the leader in smartphone sales in Russia. In July 2022, Xiaomi and its sub-brand POCO took first place in terms of sales, holding 42% of the Russian smartphone market together.
