As Ukrinform reports, Sky News reports this.
As mentioned, Europa is preparing to launch its first special mission to Jupiter, the largest planet in the Solar System.
The European Space Agency (ESA) is scheduled to launch its Jupiter Icy Moon Explorer (better known as Juice) rocket into space today.
It is an exciting day for space enthusiasts, as well as for Ukrainian girl Yaryna Zakalyuzhnaya, whose picture is on the body of the rocket.
Yaryna’s drawing of the rocket alongside Jupiter, its icy moons and Earth won the Juice Your Rocket art competition! in 2021
The Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer mission, or Juice for short, will search for life on Jupiter’s icy moons Europa, Ganymede and Callisto. The launch was supposed to take place on April 13, but was delayed to Friday, April 14, due to bad weather and the risk of lightning strikes. The start of the launch was scheduled for 15:14 Kiev time.
