The American company Nauticus Robotics has put into operation the Aquanauts Mark 2 (МК2), the first of three autonomous underwater robots of the second generation.
According to Ukrinform, Offshore Energy reported this.
The company plans to deploy the first MK2s in the North Sea and Gulf of Mexico in the coming months to support customer initiatives in the regions.
According to Nauticus Robotics, the MK2 is a fully electric, autonomous underwater robot controlled via an acoustic communication network and powered by Nauticus’ proprietary toolKITT software.
At the same time, an AI-based software package provides robotic control, sensor integration, modelling, data analysis and communication capabilities specifically designed for underwater operations.
“The delivery of our first second generation Aquanauts is an important milestone that accelerates our mission to provide underwater services to the marine industry and sets the benchmark for next-generation underwater technologies that will revolutionize the industry,” said Nicholas Redford, Founder and CEO of Nauticus Robotics. . .
As reported by Ukrinform, Dubai Customs Service (United Arab Emirates) demonstrated a robot dolphin that helps the ministry protect the country’s borders.
