“These actions are a direct response to our unwavering support for the Ukrainian people and government and will not hinder Canada’s support for Ukraine,” the minister said. said.

According to him, these malicious cyberattacks “usually target critical infrastructure networks and technologies that are essential for the operation of critical areas.”

“Attackers have also used distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks against public and private websites,” Anand said.

He urged Canadian organizations involved in the maintenance of critical infrastructure “to be prepared to protect against known cyber threats.”

“If you manage critical systems that power our communities, provide Canadians with Internet access, healthcare, or any service Canadians cannot do without, you need to protect your systems. Monitor your networks. Implement safeguards,” Anand finished.
