The Fengyun-3 07 satellite was launched at 09:36 Beijing time from the Jiuquan Cosmodrome in northwest China.
The satellite successfully reached the planned orbit.
It was noted that the satellite will provide weather forecasting, disaster prevention and mitigation, climate change response and environmental protection services.
This mission marked the 471st flight of the Long March launch vehicles.
As Ukrinform reports, SpaceX on Saturday launched a group of 51 mini-satellites into orbit as part of the Transporter 7 mission.
