Garmin has introduced two new bike computers: Garmin Edge 540 and Garmin Edge 840. Models are available in a variety of options, including solar cells and compatibility with electric bikes. These two models are generally compatible with conventional bikes.

Garmin continues to offer many products beyond its traditional smartwatches. It offers a range of cycling accessories and the new Edge 540/840 models follow suit. The Garmin Instinct 2 and Instinct 2S smartwatches were launched a few days ago. The two new Garmin bike computers share many similarities, with the older model having a touchscreen. These two products are available with integrated solar cells for an additional $100. Regular Edge 540/840 models offer up to 26 hours of battery life, while the solar model offers up to 32 hours of use on a full charge.

The more versatile Edge 840 model has 32GB of memory, while the Edge 840 only has 16GB of memory. Both have a 2.6 inch screen and a resolution of 246 x 322 pixels. Both GNSS and GPS modules are available on two Garmin Edge models. They are also compatible with Varia radar systems. The Garmin Edge 540 starts at $349.99 and the Garmin Edge 840 costs $449.99. Solar models cost $100 more, but don’t have sensor kits.

More information on the new Garmin Edge 540 and Edge 840 cycling computers can be found on the Garmin website. It is not clear at the moment in which markets the models will be sold. These and other details will appear later.
