The agreement covers work on smart solutions for computing and cloud networks. In particular, technologies for exercises, modeling and simulations of military missions will be examined.
It is stated that the US Navy did not buy anything from Microsoft under this agreement. But scientists and engineers will work together to use commercial technology to solve military problems. It is stated that the US military can recognize Microsoft tools before they are released.
It is worth noting that the US military previously used the technology of IT companies. Microsoft agreed to test HoloLens augmented reality helmets.
