A former mercenary from the Wagner group said he received orders to kill Ukrainian civilians, including teenagers, Gulagu.net, an organization that exposes abuses in Russian prisons, said today.

A former mercenary from the Wagner group said he received orders to kill Ukrainian civilians, including teenagers, Gulagu.net, an organization that exposes abuses in Russian prisons, said today.

“They gave the order to shoot everyone over 15 years old. Between 20 and 24 people were shot, ten of them were teenagers aged 15 to 17,” said a former mercenary identified as Azamat Uldarov, who was recruited by Wagner in prison.

A video of his conversation with Vladimir Osechkin, the founder of Gulagu.net, who is in exile, was published on the YouTube channel of this public organization.

According to Uldarov, pardoned by presidential decree in September 2022 and a participant in the Russian military campaign in Ukraine, he assured: “I carried out those orders with my own hands, I killed children.”

“What we did when we entered Soledar and Baymouth was terrible. We were given the order to destroy everyone,” he said.

The “ex-Wagnerian” indicated that the order came from his immediate superiors, as well as from Wagner’s chief Yevgeny Prigozhin, who “gave the order not to let anyone out.”

“We arrived, there were 150 of us, and they gave the order to clean up the territory with all their might and organize defense. And we would go and kill everyone. There were women, men, pensioners and children, you understand?” recalled a former mercenary who would deal a crushing blow to a five-year-old girl.

Uldarov pointed out that the mercenaries strictly followed the instructions of Prigozhin, who ordered “not to let anyone out alive.”

“We are all Slavs. I don’t understand why we have to kill each other. We are the same, we are people, I don’t understand why we are killing each other,” he added.

According to Osechkin, the “ex-Wagnerian” is in Russia and “is not under any pressure from the Ukrainian special services, the CIA or other organizations.”

The founder of Gulagu.net, who posted a video of an interview with Uldarov and another former mercenary named Alexei Savichev, claimed on YouTube that the former was tortured and raped in prison.

Osechkin emphasized that these testimonies are the basis for initiating criminal cases against Prigozhin and other Wagner authorities for “dozens of brutal murders and a series of war crimes and crimes against humanity.”
