How many times have you programmed an alarm that you didn’t need and forgot it, and then it rang and took up the entire display of your mobile

How many times have you programmed an alarm that you didn’t need and forgot it, and then it rang and took up the entire display of your mobile phone? This can be a big annoyance for users and hence android 14 should be able to turn off full-screen notifications, which will serve both for alarm clocks and for other more “spatial” applications.

The information was published by a journalist. Mishaal rahman V twitterwhere he posted a video in which he compared how the process would look like on smartphones with and without the tool turned on, and made a small tutorial on how to set up this configuration.

As you can see in the post above, on the cell phone on the left, when full-screen notifications are enabled, the device screen switches completely to the alarm clock; in the one on the right, with the novelty of the new version of the system, just a small banner indicating that the alarm is ringing, without taking up so much space – obviously, there should not be any changes in the sound.

To disable them, the user must access settings > apps (apps) > access to special app (app) > manage full screen notifications. This will display a list of programs that use these notifications, where you can activate or deactivate each of them.

The official launch of Android 14 should take place in the middle of the year

Android 14 is in its first beta and is now available for testers on Pixel devices. There is still no prediction of when the official launch of Microsoft’s new operating system will take place, but rumors suggest it should be in August 2023.

Some of the new features in the update, in addition to disabling full-screen notifications, also include customization of units of measure and calendar configuration, support for more than one virtual eSIM chip, and the ability to duplicate some apps on the same device. There must be changes before they reach the general public, so information and leaks remain speculation.
