TCL announced this Friday (14) the completion of Phase I of the TCL Wuhan Intelligent Industrial Park. The company is expanding the application of intelligent technology to increase the annual production of more than 6 million high-quality air conditioners.
TCL Wuhan Industrial Park has 60% manufacturing automation developed by TCL and is equipped with AIoT, big data and machine learning technologies to improve operational efficiency, product quality and reduce costs.
The $497 million TCL Wuhan Intelligent Industrial Park is a three-stage project focused on the production of air conditioners. With premises up to 390,000 square meters, the park has a complete AC supply chain, including research and development, smart manufacturing, and smart logistics. Currently, the manufacturer exports air conditioners to 160 countries around the world.
In addition to applying smart technology, TCL has laid a solid foundation for the entire manufacturing process of TCL Wuhan Smart Industrial Park. The facility is solar-powered, monitored by an energy management system (EMS) and powered by a smart system that keeps energy consumption and carbon emissions at a sustainable level.
TCL is investing in air conditioner manufacturing, such as opening a plant in Manaus in 2022 to produce air conditioners. The goal is to modernize and optimize national production, and to double the company’s production capacity in Brazil. The facility, which manufactures Split Wall models ranging from 9,000 to 32,000 BTUs, in both on-off and inverter versions, has an initial production capacity of 500,000 units, with that number expected to double in the next three years.
At CES 2023, the company introduced the second generation of TCL Fresh Air AC technology. Unlike a conventional air conditioner that recirculates air inside the home, TCL FreshIN+ delivers fresh air from outside to inside at up to 60 cubic meters per hour through a powerful air motor that increases oxygen levels and moisture.
