Google Pixel Fold and Google Pixel 7a: prices and release dates leaked

The Google Pixel Fold is undoubtedly one of Google’s biggest upcoming releases. This is a smartphone with a flexible screen that will almost certainly adopt the same basic concept we saw with the Samsung Galaxy Fold series. This means it will have two screens, an inner one to mount the flexible panel on, and an outer one to allow for more traditional smartphone use.

The Google Pixel 7a will be the successor to the Google Pixel 6a and will be designated as premium middle class, both for price and specs. In terms of design, we don’t expect any differences from the Google Pixel 7, and what you can see in the cover image is a filtered print render that shows us what the final design of the mentioned terminal will be, at least in theory. Its main value over direct rivals will be in its photographic capabilities.

According to a leak collected by GSMArena, both terminals will be presented at Google I/O, which will be held on May 10 this year. However, this does not mean that both will come out at the same time, in fact the opposite will happen. The Google Pixel 7a is expected to be available at the time of its announcement at a price of $499, a value that could happen in Spain 499 euros or 549 euros, depending on how Google decides to adjust the price.

If this price is confirmed, the Google Pixel 7a it would be $50 more expensive than the Google Pixel 6a, the difference is not too big, but when we move in this type of range, it can ultimately affect the price-performance ratio of the terminal. Anyway, it looks like the current model will be on sale for a while until its successor arrives, so we’ll have plenty to choose from to suit our budget.

This smartphone will use Google’s Tensor G2 SoC, will use a slightly smaller screen than the standard model, although it will retain the 120Hz refresh rate, and will have a 64MP main camera and a 13MP secondary camera that will work great. As I said at the beginning of the article, computational photography It will be one of your most important assets.

As for the Google Pixel Fold, it is expected to hit the market on June 27 and will be priced at $1,799, an amount that can be directly converted to €1,799 if our currency maintains its strength against the dollar. As for its specifications, we expect it to be a high-end terminal and configured with sa Google Tensor G2 SoC manufactured in 5nm, 12GB or 16GB RAM and that it uses a set of cameras similar to those of the Google Pixel 7.
