You can now switch off the image of people in a video meeting separately in order to listen to the moderator with more concentration.
In a small update, Google Meet now allows separate video streams to be switched off. Extra cool: the conversation partner does not know that he or she is no longer in the picture. You can tap the menu button in the people list and opt out of viewing. The mobile version of Google Meet now includes a new “audio only” option that removes all video from tiles that present content.
Google hopes this update will be useful in situations where you want to focus primarily on the moderator.
Starting today, this new update is rolling out to all Google Workspace customers, as well as legacy G Suite Basic and G Suite Business customers. You can use the function in the web version and in the apps on Android and iOS.
