The US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) denied claims that the explosions in Kiev may have been caused by the fall of the RHESSI satellite from orbit.
Ukrinform reported that a representative from the American agency’s communications office told the BBC about this.
“Rob Margetta of NASA’s Office of Communications told the BBC that the satellite was in orbit (over Kiev) at the time the flare was observed,” the British service said in a statement.
A representative of the American space agency also said that the satellite will enter the Earth’s atmosphere at night. At the same time, it is reported that NASA and the US Department of Defense continue to monitor the orbit of RHESSI.
As reported by Ukrinform, around 10 pm on April 19, a bright air object flare was observed in the sky over Kiev. KMVA hypothesized that this phenomenon could be the result of a NASA space satellite crashing to Earth.
