Oracle and GitLab are rolling out a joint AI platform to train models faster and more efficiently and then deploy them cost-effectively.

Today every company works with AI, including Oracle. In order to put an AI model to practical use, it must first be carefully trained to perform a specific task correctly. This process takes time and, above all, a lot of resources. On the occasion of KubeCon 2023, Oracle is expanding its partnership with the open source platform GitLab.

GitLab users can now run their AI and ML workloads on Oracle’s cloud infrastructure. Conversely, the partnership also opens the doors to GitLab for Oracle customers. Running AI and ML workloads in the cloud must provide organizations with the scalability, security, and reliability to train and deploy AI models to business operations faster and more cost-effectively. This should also improve the performance and hopefully the reliability of the systems.

Rising interest in AI

If you still have doubts that AI and ML are the current trends, GitLab is happy to shower you with numbers that prove it. The company recently published its latest DevSecOps report, in which it looks at the key trends in the DevOps landscape. By 2023, 65 percent of developers will be working with artificial intelligence in one way or another; in the previous year it was still 24 percent.
