Just a few weeks ago we talked about the latest addition of emoji reactions for WhatsApp, but it seems so The messaging application plans to add another feature more inherited from Instagram. And as they shared from WABetainfo, the latest beta version of WhatsApp shows that Zuckerberg’s company is currently working on new feature that makes WhatsApp statuses available.
Currently, Instagram users (with the latest version of the app installed) can see updates to their friends’ stories through their private chat list, and we’ll soon have a similar option that allows users check out our status updates directly from chats private.

As you can see in this screenshot pulled through the contact finder, the first contact would share two status updates, displayed in a circle around his profile picture, which can also be seen directly in the personal chat with this userand even in the list of users in the group. This way, if we click on the chat cell, we will open the conversation with the contact as normal, but if we click directly on the profile picture of the contactwe will make these transient publications available.
It therefore highlights the fact that a new feature was found in WhatsApp Desktop to display status updates, although according to messages shared by WABetainfo, it is expected to arrive for all Android and iOS mobile app users in the future.
Unfortunately, it is not fully known at this time when we should expect this new feature, the only advance is that it is in the process of development and testing, so it may take several more months before you can use it general level.
