The company Lisa Su leads has yet to launch three major products Radeon RX 7800which places in a high range, the Radeon RX 7700which fits in the upper middle range, and Radeon RX 7600, which will be a mid-range graphics card. According to new information, the latter two will be the big stars of Computex, and it seems that their selling prices will be very competitive.
This information comes from a fairly reliable source, Igor’s Lab, although he did not dare to talk about specific prices. However, it is clear that given the range in which the Radeon RX 7700 and Radeon RX 7600 will be placed, the former will cost less than $500 and the latter less than $400. Please note that these numbers are knowledgeand that will ultimately depend on what NVIDIA has in the market and the leeway AMD has on the cost level.
As for the Radeon RX 7800, it will be an AMD graphics card will compete with the GeForce RTX 4070, and that it will therefore become an entry model to a higher range. It is not clear if AMD is going to release two versions, one XT and the other standard, but if it were, the former would be more powerful and more expensive than the latter, that much is evident. Its launch date is now a mystery, but some rumors say it could be a difficult model for AMD due to pricing issues.
What I just told you has an explanation, if AMD wants it to be competitive against the GeForce RTX 4070 I would have to specify the price a lot ($599 or less), and the Radeon RX 7800 could do that they do not create benefits per unit sold, mainly due to the high cost of the GDC + MCD design that this model will use, which is the same we saw in the Radeon RX 7900 XTX and XT, with the only difference that the Radeon RX 7800 will only have four MCD units with infinite cache.
This graphics card will be designed play in 1080p and 1440p, and should rival NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4060. It could come in two versions, an XT that would use a Navi 33 GPU with 2,048 active shaders, and an unbranded one that could have a lower shader configuration.
We could play with this model 1440p and 2160p adjusting the graphics quality and it will be a rival of the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, at least in theory. Like the previous one, it could also come in two different versions, an XT with more shaders and another one without this distinctive, less powerful, cheaper and with fewer shaders.
It could be played with 2160p for almost everything in maximum qualityand would be a direct rival to NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4070. As in the previous cases, it could be accompanied by an XT model, which would be more powerful, have more shaders and be placed between the GeForce RTX 4070 and the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti.
