The spatial resolution of the Red Planet images is stated to be 76 m.
Color images are based on 14,757 images taken by the camera aboard the Tianwen-1 orbiter between November 2021 and July 2022.
The first Chinese mission to Mars, named Tianwen-1, was launched on July 23, 2020. After a 202-day flyby, the Mars probe entered Mars orbit. Then, on May 15, the rover module made a soft landing on the surface of the Red Planet.
On May 22, the Zhuzhong rover left the landing platform and began exploring the planet.
As reported by Ukrinform, a group of scientists led by the University of New York Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) and the United Arab Emirates Center for Space Sciences has produced a new detailed map of the Red Planet thanks to the Hope space probe.
