As reported by Ukrinform, this was reported by Reuters.
Its developer said China’s fully robotic rover likely encountered an excessive accumulation of sand and dust on the Red Planet. It’s been in a longer-than-expected sleep mode since May 2022.
The Zhuron rover, named after the legendary Chinese god of fire, was expected to “wake up” in December, after entering a planned sleep mode in May 2022, as falling solar radiation levels with the onset of winter reduced energy production.
As reported by Ukrinform, the State Space Administration of the People’s Republic of China and the Chinese Academy of Sciences jointly released spherical color images of Mars obtained by the Tianwen-1 orbiter.
