The Radeon RX 7900 XT is a graphics card that competes with the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti and should therefore be considered a high-end model capable of offering good performance at 4K resolution. The official price of this AMD graphics card in Spain is €1,049but as we told you last December, the listed price dropped shortly after launch and it was available for purchase 999 euros.

Over time, its selling price has had some fluctuations, but in the end it is clear that it is immersed in a certain downward trend, and this is especially noticed by the American market, where the Radeon RX 7900 XT can only be purchased from $761.99. To give you an idea of ​​what this means, I remind you its MSRP is $949.

I think it’s pretty clear that these price drops that are happening are driven by lower than expected sales and that their main goal is ultimately to strengthen them. In the Spanish market, prices have not dropped that much, but it is true that Radeon RX 7900 XT can be bought at some retailers with a base price of 949.95 euros, and I’ve seen it in lesser-known stores and I can’t recommend it because I’ve never bought it in them, for 930 euros.

It’s good to see the prices of next-generation graphics cards coming down, but if you’re looking to buy a cheap mid-range model we still have to wait a few months because NVIDIA recently released the GeForce RTX 4070, which is a high-end entry-level graphics card, and AMD hasn’t released anything beyond the RX 7900 series yet.

Right now, in the new generation of the high line, it is the cheapest we can find GeForce RTX 4070, which has 12 GB of graphics memory and supports DLSS3. Its recommended price is 669 euros, but we can get it reduced to 619.90 euros and with a promotion that includes the Overwatch 2 Ultimate Battle Pass Bundle.

In terms of raw performance, it is at the level of the GeForce RTX 3080, but it does better in ray tracing and thanks to DLSS 3 (frame generation) it is able to outperform more powerful models, since this technology allows to generate one additional frame for every two conventionally rendered frames.
