Windows 11 in its new build 22572 decided to drop an important feature in the taskbar due to system optimization. As an alternative, developers are testing touch zoom on the display.
This is a hidden menu to the right of the taskbar, which allows you to see active programs in the background. And while pinned icons can be rearranged with the mouse cursor for the time being, in the near future this will become impossible even in desktop mode. You can only change the menu using the system settings. Windows Latest predicts the feature will disappear in version 22H2 during the big October update.
But as compensation, the developer promises to include in a future update the classic drag and drop on the taskbar, a feature that Windows has had for a long time, but, oddly enough, is missing in this new iteration. More details about the innovations in Windows 11 can be found at the presentation scheduled for April 5, which will be hosted by Microsoft Product Director Panos Panay.
