The project, designed for the development of defense technologies, was implemented by the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Digital Transformation, Ministry of Strategic Industries, General Staff of the Armed Forces and Ministry of National Security and Defense. Council.

“At the moment we have only one main goal – to defeat the aggressor. The creation of the BRAVE1 defense cluster brings us closer to victory, as it allows us to respond more effectively to the needs of the front. At the same time, the Ukrainian defense technology has enormous potential. This means that its rapid economic growth after victory. It makes it one of its leading driving forces.”

According to him, the Ukrainian defense industry complex is already attracting increased interest from potential investors. Ukraine’s task is to maximize the attractiveness of investments in the sector and shorten the time from requests to implementation of projects.

During the launch of the platform in Kiev on April 26, representatives of state institutions signed a memorandum of cooperation and support within the framework of the project. The BRAVE1 portal was also presented, where developers and manufacturers can submit their own projects, access military expertise, grants and other opportunities provided by the cluster.

The BRAVE1 coordination platform was created as a “single window” for cooperation between defense technology companies, government and military, as well as investors, voluntary funds, media and other participants.

It was noted that the activities of BRAVE1 will focus on 5 directions. These include grants to developers prioritized according to the needs of security and defense forces, assistance in finding effective technological solutions among Ukrainian developers, and the unification of all industry stakeholders. In addition, the platform will provide interaction by showing the developments to the defense forces and getting feedback on their use.

Brave1 is an interdisciplinary project and its purpose is to encourage and support the development of companies working in the field of defense technologies.
