This way, anyone using Google Authenticator won’t have to set up two-factor authentication every time they change their device. This was announced to the community by Google Product Director Christian Brand. “One of the most popular comments we’ve heard from users over the years has been about the difficulty of dealing with lost or stolen devices that have Google Authenticator installed.”
According to Brand, the update addresses the issue and makes life easier for the user by making “unique codes more secure and storing them securely in your Google account.” the change means that users are even more protected from blocking, avoid headaches and increase convenience.
