Since the beginning of the extensive invasion, Ukraine has received 42,000 Starlink satellite Internet terminals that provide communication to critical infrastructure.
Deputy Prime Minister for Innovations, Education, Science and Technology Development – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov said this in an interview with Ukrinform.
“Everything is running stable. We are in constant communication with the company and respond immediately to everything. Currently, there are 42 thousand Starlink terminals in Ukraine that provide communication between energy workers, doctors and the military,” he said.
Fedorov explained that “the state did not spend a single penny on them” – everything was delivered by international partners, who paid on preferential terms for the operation of equipment.
As reported, Starlink is a SpaceX project that uses a satellite network to provide access to broadband internet. The speed of this type of Internet is up to 1 Gbit/s per subscriber and you can use it anywhere in the World.
