Turkish defense company Baykar introduced its own Kemankes (Kagem) cruise missile for the first time. This is reported by Baykar firm. Bayraktar Kemankeş (Kagem) is a cruise missile developed by Baykar company to hit strategic targets behind the enemy.

The new missile is equipped with an artificial intelligence assisted optical guidance system that provides detection, diagnosis and guidance on the target in its last flight segment. The length of the rocket is 1.73 meters, and its height is 0.4 meters. The wingspan is 1.25 meters. The maximum weight of the missile is 30 kilograms, 6 kg of which is the warhead. The claimed cruise speed of the cruise missile is Mach 0.3 (360 km/h), but can reach a maximum speed of Mach 0.7 (720 km/h). The so-called “working ceiling” for him is 5,500 meters.

The rocket is equipped with a liquid-fueled jet engine that allows it to run for 60 minutes. Kemankeş has a range of over 200 kilometers and a communication range of up to 50 kilometers. The rocket is capable of autonomous flight using the autopilot system.

The missile is guided to the target by an optical guidance system with 2-axis stabilization, 36 times zoom and a laser rangefinder with a range of 2.8 kilometers.

The guidance system is equipped with artificial intelligence that can hit targets in automatic or manual mode if there is communication in the final flight segment. Presumably, control of the missile could be transferred from one operator to another. During the presentation, the developers also showed the workspace of the operator of the complex and the interface of the control system. The manufacturer claims that the winged ammunition offered can be transported by unmanned aerial vehicles such as Bayraktar Akıncı, Bayraktar TB-2 and Bayraktar TB-3 produced by Baykar company.
