ChatGPT’s reach continues to grow, especially after OpenAI released an API that allows the service to be integrated into third-party development. Recall that until then developers could use the GPT-3 API (and now also the GPT-4 API), but a very important difference between them and the chatbot model is their price, which in the case of ChatGPT is much cheaper. Not surprisingly, when the mentioned launch happened, I already suspected that ChatGPT was waiting for us in the soup.

It is true that the legal situation of the OpenAI chatbot in Europe is not exactly the best, but it is the company seems to be adapting to the regulatory framework at a good speed from the old continent, so today it makes sense to think that apart from the Italian precedent, ChatGPT should continue to be available from Europe. We have already seen, in addition to their quick response to the Italian regulator, that they recently added the ability to configure it not to train with our data, which is a big step forward.

Now, even if things get complicated for a chatbot, the same won’t necessarily happen with other services that use this model, because in that case it’s more than likely that they are responsible for making the necessary arrangements adapt your services to GDPR. So we can be sure that even in a worst-case scenario, a large number of services that have been proliferating for some time, as well as those that already existed but are starting to integrate ChatGPT, will continue to be available.

So with these perspectives, there are many users who wish to have the most convenient and fastest possible access to a chatbot, and for said users Kidix has made an interesting proposition as it allows you to access ChatGPT directly from WhatsApp and completely free of charge. Its operation is very simple, just go to its website from your smartphone (it doesn’t always work on a PC), click the “Start conversation” button and a new WhatsApp conversation will immediately open in which you can chat with the chatbot.

This service is offered by a Spanish company and on its website we can find its registration data, which at least in the first place implies a certain guarantee. However, in this regard, we recommend that you only use this service for general conversations and never disclose personal or private information in them. And don’t get me wrong, I have no reason to suspect any bad intentions on his part, far from it. However, experience has taught us to be careful in this regard. And not counting that point, I find the Kidix proposal very, very interesting, and while I can’t help but wonder how they plan to monetize the service (perhaps by paying in the future), yes I am glad that the Spanish company offers such an interesting offer.
