You may remember that the final trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was released a few weeks ago, and after the launch I was curious if it would arrive well or if it would take over from The Last of Us Part 1 for PC. The progress we’ve seen so far has added to the good taste that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order left me with, making me a little more optimistic than is recommended in these situations. But in case you were wondering, sanity eventually prevailed and I preferred to wait for the release rather than pre-order it. In this regard, there are already too many bad experiences to sting again.
However, I wished I was wrong. I have, on Steam alone, almost 40 Star Wars games to give you an idea of the close relationship I have with the saga, and I was excited about the proposed plot of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. What’s more, if all went well at least, I wanted to buy it today to spend a few hours on it during the long weekend we have in Madrid. And it’s been a long, long time since I set aside a long weekend for a single game. The good news is that eventually I will be able to devote the days of this long weekend to other varied and fun purposes.
Because? As the fears were confirmed, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor managed to push TLoU Part 1 out of the limelight. As you can see, if you go through the comments left on Steam by players who have already tried it, you can see for yourself that again we find a game that arrived broken. And that despite the fact that its start was originally planned for March 15, its start was finally delayed by about a month and a half, precisely so that this would theoretically not happen.
In this case, yes, we can confirm that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Bad Status is not exclusive to PC. As we can read in Wccftech, it seems that in the Xbox Series X | S managed to save the file, but that the gaming experience on the PlayStation 5 also deserves to be called pathetic. It’s a shame, of course, that it’s no consolation for all those users who decided to rely on the pre-release again and found that the developer and distributor laughed at them again, in their faces, after charging them no less than sixty euros.
At the time of publishing this news, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is building 3,757 reviews on Steam, of which 3,421 are negative, or 91%. And as the platform itself remembers, the Steam summary only takes into account reviews from users who bought the game directly from its store, so we can exclude possibilities such as review the bombing or similarly. No, the explanation is much simpler, again we are faced with a startup that should not have happened.
