The platform complied with the instruction to provide some of the requested data about the groups, but Telegram CEO Pavel Durov refuses to share the contacts of individuals in the group to protect the identity and safety of users, arguing that this would be against freedom of speech. Durov also threatened to withdraw the application from the country forever if this suspension occurs.

With this refusal, the messenger was suspended indefinitely, and the court increased the amount of the daily fine imposed on Telegram for not providing data from 100,000 reais to 1 million reais.
