If we talk about modern solutions, then AMD processors and GPUs have long been produced exclusively by TSMC. However, the latest data shows that we will soon see Samsung-made AMD products on the market.
An OreXda insider source, who previously reported that the Samsung MX division was set up prior to the company’s official announcement, claims that AMD and Samsung have signed an agreement that allows AMD products to be manufactured at Samsung’s 4nm manufacturing facilities.
It was not specified what kind of products these were, but now according to such norms, AMD only produces mobile Ryzen 7040H/HS. It is quite possible that the Ryzen 7040U will also be four nanometers, but there is no definite data on this yet.
Samsung currently manufactures products according to 4LPP standards, but is already preparing an improved 4LPP+ technical process. It is quite possible that AMD products will be built exactly on its basis.
