According to Gerald Davidson, a spokesman for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the bodies found during a search of two missing teenagers were in the city of Henrietta, 145 kilometers from Oklahoma.
County Sheriff Eddie Rice declined to confirm the identities of the victims, where the bodies were found, or details about a possible weapon, adding that he believes “there is no longer a threat to society,” the network reported.
Hours earlier, authorities had issued a notice of the disappearance of two young men, aged 14 and 16, who were allegedly seen with a 39-year-old man on the sex offender registry.
