Google has released the May Update for eligible Pixel models, which includes fixes for touchscreen lag bugs and issues with UI elements on the lock screen. However, Pixel 6 users participating in the QPR3 beta testing program are experiencing freezes, crashes and app issues that are causing frustration among users. The update is only available to those who bought the public versions of Android 13, and users of the Android 14 Beta or Android 13 QPR3 Beta program will not be able to receive the update.

Pixel QPR3 beta users may exit the app after installing the June update

The June update is expected to include the platform’s quarterly update, also known as the June Feature Drop, and Pixel users in the QPR3 Beta program will be able to exit the program without wiping their devices once the update is installed. However, with the launch of new Pixel devices on the horizon, Pixel Fold, Pixel 7a, Pixel 8 line and Pixel TabletThis error is not suitable for Google.

The May security bulletin includes two fixes for common vulnerabilities and risks, as well as fixes for moderate camera issues. Pixel models eligible for the May update include: Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a (5G), Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.

The next update, expected in June, will include the June version of the features and will allow Pixel users participating in the QPR3 beta program to exit the program without wiping their devices.
