Kherson’s military administration announced a 58-hour curfew from Friday to Wednesday, coinciding with Ukraine’s preparations for its long-awaited military counteroffensive aimed at retaking Russian-occupied territories in the country’s east and south.
In accordance with Ukrinformshelling took place on civil infrastructure and indiscriminately, resulting in at least 22 injuries in addition to the deaths.

Already in the morning, regional authorities announced an attack on railroad station Kherson, at least one dead and three wounded.
The city of Kherson was liberated by Ukrainian troops in November after being occupied by Russia at the beginning of the war and is subject to daily artillery fire from across the Dnieper.
Ukraine also activated on Wednesday an anti-aircraft alert in Kyiv and in almost all eastern regions of the country.
