After two days of searching, the police decided sacrifice two large crocodiles and found in one of them the remains of a human body.

Crocodiles are common in the tropical north of Australia, but attacks are rare.
Local media emphasize that Darmody’s death is just 13th fatal attack in Queensland since the start of accounting in 1985.
Since the hunting ban in 1974, the crocodile population in Queensland has declined from 5,000 individuals to around 30,000 today.
In March, Queensland authorities warned residents that avoid crocodile-infested waters after record floods.
