Motorola has announced the launch of the Edge 40 to round out its range of most advanced smartphones, which include the Pro model as the top of the range. This variant reduces some of its advantages, but it also reduces its price quite a bit for those looking for a terminal with a quality screen and good features at a lower price.

The Motorola Edge 40 features an edge-to-edge curved glass display and a domed back panel that’s joined together via a precision-cut brushed aluminum frame. Very nice, thin (7.58mm thick) and comfortable to wear with a light vegan coating and also offers a degree of protection by adding IP68 certification against dust, dirt and accidental drops in fresh water.

Your panel is a 6.55″ curved POLED, with native Full HD + resolution and in landscape format like all current mobiles. It is certified for HDR10+ high dynamic range and DCI-P3 color gamut to provide a wider and more realistic color gamut. Compared to the Edge 40 Pro, Motorola is cutting costs and reducing performance in its core hardware in addition to the screen. Therefore, Edge 40 uses the MediaTek Dimensity 8020, compared to its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, with eight cores (four of them high-performance Cortex-A78 with a maximum frequency of 2.6 GHz) and support for advanced 5G networks. It is accompanied 8GB LPDDR4X RAM (also slightly less than the Pro model’s 12GB) a 256 GB of internal storage UFS 3.15.

Lenovo is the one that offers the cleanest user interface on Google’s operating system, which in this case comes standard with the latest stable version of Android 13. The new model, a scaled-down version of the top-of-the-range, is available from today on Motorola’s website with a color design in black and pro 599 euros. Soon, the manufacturer will launch versions with blue and green finishes and expand availability to major dealers and operators in Spain.
