A ASUS launched last week Expert Center PN42, a mini PC based on Intel N100 or N200 processors without a fan to reduce operating noise and prevent dust from accumulating inside the case made of recycled plastic. Along with this, its support for two 4K monitors or three standards with different inputs also stands out.
The device has up to seven USB, HDMI, DisplayPort 1.2 ports and is configurable for Displayport 1.4, making it an interesting option for those looking for a compact device with expandable screen count. Its design, referred to as “fanless”, was designed for quiet environments or industrial use, with slats and a heatsink that improve cooling efficiency.
The ExpertCenter PN42 is also compatible with WiFi 6 and WiFi 6E which support the 6 GHz band. In addition, 2.5 GBASE-T network technology provides speeds up to 2.5 Gbps and the ability to specify an optional 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port.
The mini PC is even equipped with two-way artificial intelligence (AI) noise reduction for cleaner phone conversations. According to ASUS, the PC will support well-known calling programs such as Microsoft commandsABOUT skype And zoom.
As for the architecture, the brand has highlighted the power button, which glows in different colors, informing about the state of the system. When it is white, it has successfully initialized; blue light warns of an error during boot, and blue warns of a processor error.
When the indication is green, memory error, yellow – display error. Finally, a red light alerts the user that a device error has occurred.
ASUS did not reveal the starting price for the ExpertCenter PN42, but taking into account other products with similar characteristics, it should be at least $500 (about 2523 reais in direct terms). The release has not yet become official in Brazil.
