But imagine a drop test where a cell phone has to survive a jump from an airplane many miles above the ground.

Of course, it was protected by a reinforced shell and landed on slightly softer ground to absorb its impact, but still from a really impressive height, after all, its height was 4.2 kilometers – which may be one of the greatest involuntary fall tests already performed with the iPhone.
