It is stated that the two-hour meeting was attended by Google’s Sundar Pichai, Microsoft Corp’s Satya Nadella, OpenAI’s Sam Altman and Anthropic’s Dario Amodei, as well as Vice President Kamala Harris and management officials.

“Biden, who used and tried ChatGPT, told authorities they needed to mitigate the current and potential risks AI poses to people, society and national security,” the report said.

Attendees of the meeting discussed the need for a more transparent company policy regarding AI systems and the importance of assessing the safety of such products. The need for protection against malicious attacks was also discussed.

Participants objectively evaluated the benefits and risks associated with the use of artificial intelligence and actually came to unanimous conclusions about controlling the latest technology.

The National Science Foundation will reportedly allocate $140 million to launch seven new AI research institutes. The White House Office of Management and Budget will also publish policy recommendations regarding the federal government’s use of AI.

As reported by Ukrinform, Meta said Wednesday it has uncovered malware vendors who are using the public’s interest in ChatGPT to trick users into downloading malware and browser extensions.
