“Access to the site was cut off this morning,” the upper house of the French parliament said in a statement.
A Telegram group called NoName claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it was done because “France was working with Ukraine on a new aid package that could include weapons.”
The same group said that in March it shut down the website of the lower house of the French National Assembly for a few hours.
In addition, the group said they were behind the hacking of Canadian government websites during Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal’s visit to the country last month.
As reported, Russian hackers have repeatedly carried out cyberattacks on government websites of European countries. Especially at the beginning of April, a DoS attack was carried out on the website of the Finnish Parliament.
