There are a few hours left before Charles III be crowned the king this Saturday at a centenary ceremony that will feature luxury items and military processions.

Here we will tell you the key moments of the coronation.

06:30 GMT: The doors of London’s Westminster Abbey are open to the faithful. The music starts in an hour and a half.

08:10-08:45 GMT: Soldiers line up on a ceremonial route in central London.

08:30–08:55 GMT: Heads of state and representatives of foreign governments arrive at the abbey.

The royal procession begins

09:20 GMT: The royal procession begins. Carlos and Camilla will be accompanied by cavalry units and musicians on their way to Westminster Abbey. They will pass through the mall, a large avenue outside the palace, which will be crowded.

09:25 GMT: Members of foreign royal families arrive at the abbey.

09:35–09:45 GMT: Members of the British royal family are arriving.

09:53 GMT: The royal procession arrives and the bells of the abbey are ringing.

10:00 GMT: The coronation ceremony begins, which will last two hours.

11:00 GMT: Charles is crowned by the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby.. Fanfares will sound and artillery salutes will sound across the Tower of London and throughout the capital, the country, Gibraltar, Bermuda and ships on the high seas.

12:45 GMT: The coronation procession arrives at Buckingham Palace. Carlos and Camilla will head to the garden to receive the royal salute from the military before joining other members of the royal family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
