The Bermuda Triangle has long been at the center of superstitions and supernatural circles, and many claim this vast stretch of ocean is irrefutable evidence of supernatural powers. But one scientist disagrees, saying the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle isn’t all that impressive.
A scientist from the University of Sydney in Australia may have a logical explanation for the Bermuda Triangle. Although it has been the home of disappearances for years, Karl Krushelnicki says the triangle is the same as the percentage of planes and boats lost anywhere in the world, especially considering how much traffic is passing through the area.
Based on this finding, Krushelnitskyi says that the Bermuda Triangle isn’t actually all that mysterious. Instead, he seems to believe that most disappearances are due to bad weather or even bad decisions made by people who get lost on voyages, rather than giant sea creatures, supernatural forces, or aliens.
The mystery of the Bermuda Triangle has been at its peak for the past 70 years, and many believe it may be related to supernatural powers. Located in the western part of the North Atlantic, this stretch of ocean has been a grid for the human imagination. Some even believe that aliens may have hijacked ships and planes.
But Krushelnicki says it’s probably just human error and bad weather. According to a report by Mirror, Krushelnicki cited the disappearance of the famous Bermuda Triangle as evidence of these human errors. In 1945, Flight 19, a group of five US Navy bombers, was lost in the Triangle.
Despite searches for the missing planes, no evidence of the wreckage has been found, further adding to the mystery surrounding the Bermuda Triangle. But Krushelnicki says only one of the 14 crew members is a truly experienced pilot. He also claims that the pilot was known to make bad decisions and showed up with a hangover on the day of the flight.
But the evidence doesn’t end there. Kruszelnicki also notes that the weather on the day Flight 19 disappeared was believed to be stormy with waves up to 4.5 m high. Radio transcripts from the flight show the chief pilot and the other pilot disagreeing over which direction to take.
Additionally, Lieutenant Charles Taylor (chief pilot of the trip) believed he was over the Florida Keys and his compass was malfunctioning. He disagreed with the junior pilot about flying and turned the plane east instead of west, possibly taking him further into the Atlantic. Could this human error explain Flight 19’s disappearance? Or is the secret of the Bermuda Triangle’s supernatural connections to blame?
Given the bad weather and limited fuel, it is possible that Flight 19 will run into a problem and fall overboard. And because the ocean is deep in this region, it will be difficult to see any debris reaching the ocean floor even if you look in the right place.
With so much disappearance and so much stigma surrounding it, perhaps this explanation can provide some answers to people trying to understand the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle. And because this region of the ocean is so vast, it’s unlikely that we’ll be able to properly excavate its bottom, which means we’ll never have a definitive answer.
